A rhythmically charged celebration of our region’s spirit – and a virtual “Who’s Who” of Internationally-recognized and award-winning composers with Latin American roots or ties. Music from Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, Brasil, Argentina, Spain and the US. Come early and enjoy “festival activities” in the theater lobby from 11am-1:30 pm as we celebrate the rich cultural traditions and connections of our Central and South American communities.
Pre-concert festivities will take place in the Community Center Theater lobby from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The talents of regional musicians, dancers, and artists from various cultural organizations will be showcased, including Institute Mazatlan Bellas Artes (IMBA), Brazilian Center for Cultural Exchange of Sacramento, La Raza Galeria Posada, and Firehouse 5 Dance Studio. These activities are free of charge and the public is invited to participate, whether or not they are attending the paid concert that follows.
